designs that most people will never, ever see in
a store. They are cowhides we have actually photographed and are the
exact ones customers will receive.
Even
the common designs in our "Perfect
Hides" category are extremely rare in that
they are near flawless...there is no patching, sewing
and very few marks on them, unlike 99% of all
other hides.

Please do not confuse these Brazilian cowhides
here in these categories with the other Brazilian
cowhides found elsewhere on our website selling for
around $200-$249. Even though all of our Brazilian
cowhides are of the same quality as far as softness
and tanning are concerned, the quality, color and
design of the hides in these categories are what
distinguishes these hides from the other cowhides on
our site, in addition to all other cowhides in the
world. Rarely, if ever will you find hides like these
in a retail store and rarely elsewhere on the
Internet. ...they simply are not readily available.
Representing less than 1% of all cowhides, these hides
could easily cost $600-$800.
All
of these "natural colored" cowhides come
from Brazil, the country that unquestionably produces
the finest quality cowhides in the world. The leather
of each one of our cowhides is very supple and soft,
unlike so many other cowhides on the market today that
can actually be quite stiff. In addition, our
manufacturers do not use any of the tanning solutions
that can produce the unpleasant smell that many other
cowhide products commonly have.
Out of the 5000 hides we may sort through on
our monthly South American trip, we will find no more
than 30 or so of these unusual hides. Prices depend on
size and how rare the color and style are. We have
more of these rare hides than the next 5 websites
combined, with over one hundred at any given time. In
addition we specialize in extra large hides, hides
that are 7x8 ft. in size. Unfortunately, pictures
rarely do these hides justice as the hides themselves
are usually much more stunning in person! Most any one
of these hides will take your breath away when you see
it "in person"!
Each one is hand picked for size, quality, color and
unique design. In addition, we spend anywhere from
15-30 minutes "sculpturing" each of these
hides so they will look symmetrical. Hides
coming in from Brazil can look quite badly as far as
the shape is concerned. We only take the time to
sculpture these higher priced hides.
