Cowhides-Brazilian-Perfects

The cowhides below are the actual ones sent; as a result, multiple hides of any one picture cannot be ordered. If more than one hide is wanted, please call us or find another hide on our website.

All the hides in this category are perfect, flawless hides. They represent less than 1% of all cowhides. All other cowhides will have natural scars, marks, and scrapes in them. In addition, when processing cowhides almost all other hides will either have knife slits that have to be sewn or holes that have to be patched. The hides in this category will have none of these. In addition, these hides have all been hand-cut and are perfectly symmetrical.

Hides of this quality are rarely ever seen in stores and could easily cost at least $500-$800.

Unfortunately, having shot this picture outside, the bright sun has put an unsightly glare on the hide. This is a very rare cowhide for several reasons. First, it is one of the largest cowhides we have ever had, being 9 feet long! It is rare to have a hide 8.5 ft long. To find one 9 feet long is almost unheard of. Secondly, this is a very rare multicolored hide. The predominant color is a rare light palomino. The top has beautiful brown shading while the bottom third also has a similar brown shading. Lastly the spine has a lighter shade of color that gives a good contrast to the rest of the cowhide.

To make this hide even more rare, it doesn't have ANY patching or sewing as do 99% of all other cowhides. Almost all hides while being processed, are either cut with knives or scraped thin where holes are actually put in them. The cuts have to be sewn and the holes patched, thus the reason almost all hides will have seams and/or patching.

This cowhide has neither. So in summary, it is as big a cowhide one will find, it has a rare color pattern AND it has no patching or sewing: truly a one of a kind cowhide.
